Spanish stock market rises 1.62 pct, closes at 11,012 points

Spain's benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 rose 1.62 percent on Thursday to close at 11,012 points, up from the 10,837 points of Wednesday.

On Thursday session, Caixabank shares led rises climbing 3.86 percent, followed by Banco Popular, Bankia, R.E.C., Banco Sabadell and Viscofan that rose 3.77 percent, 3.74 percent, 2.85 percent, 2.78 percent and 2.51 percent respectively.

On the other hand, ArcelorMittal shares led falls losing 1.36 percent, followed by Tecnicas Reunidas, Repsol and Acerinox that lost 0.66 percent, 0.62 percent and 0.20 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium closed at 127.50 points, falling from the 131.40 points of Wednesday, and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.63 percent, down from the 1.64 percent of Wednesday. Endit
