Bahrain king visits Brunei to advance bilateral ties

Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa arrived in Brunei on Wednesday for a state visit to the country.

The king, touching down in Brunei after concluding a four-day visit to Malaysia, was welcomed by Brunei's Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, Crown Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, and high-ranking government officials at the Brunei International Airport.

During his visit, the king of Bahrain will hold talks with the sultan on bilateral relations and ways to bolster ties in various fields.

Talks will also focus on recent regional and international developments, as well as issues of common interests, according to a statement from the Bahrain side.

Brunei and Bahrain established diplomatic relations in 1988.

A number of cooperative agreements have been signed by the two countries in various fields, including air services and investment. Endit
