Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda has said that the Chinese-led Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) attracting members from Asia and beyond is a positive for infrastructure development in Asia.

WELLINGTON -- New Zealand's unemployment rate edged down to 4.9 percent in the quarter ending March, the government statistics agency said Wednesday.
The unemployment rate for men fell from 4.8 percent to 4.2 percent, making it the lowest rate since the December 2008 quarter, while the unemployment rate for women was unchanged, said labor market and household statistics senior manager Mark Gordon. (New Zealand-Unemployment)

SRINAGAR, Indian-controlled Kashmir -- Suspected militants stormed a police post guarding court complex in restive Indian-controlled Kashmir and snatched five service rifles belonging to policemen deployed there, police said Wednesday.

KABUL-- At least six civilians were killed and over 20 others injured after a suicide bomber struck a foreign forces' military convoy in a diplomatic district in central Kabul on Wednesday, an Afghan source said.
"The obvious target was a U.S. military convoy moving in Shashdarak locality where several diplomatic offices and government buildings are located. The explosion occurred roughly at 08:00 a.m. local time (0330 GMT) and details will be shared with media after an ongoing investigation," the source told Xinhua anonymously. SYDNEY -- A record number of people have flocked to a Vincent Van Gogh exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) as of Wednesday.
More than 21,000 people have visited the exhibition, titled Van Gogh and the Seasons, in its first five days.
