Iran to host major energy exhibition

Iran will hold a major energy exhibition with the participation of 1,500 foreign companies from 37 countries, Press TV reported on Monday.

The 22nd Iran International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition will open in the capital Tehran on Saturday, aimed at showcasing the country's latest technical achievements.

The event is considered as the biggest in the Middle East and the fifth largest in the world, Mohammad Naseri, the director of the exhibition, was quoted as saying.

Major companies from China, the Netherlands, France, Britain, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Russia, Japan, South Korea and Australia will attend the event which will continue until May 9, 2017.

Nasseri also said that the Pall Corporation of the United States, Wintershall Holding GmbH and Siemens from Germany, Lukoil of Russia, OMV of Austria, and ONGC from India are other participants in the show. Endit
