Malta's PM calls early snap general election on June 3

Xinhua, May 1, 2017 Adjust font size:

Maltese Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, during a rally commemorating Workers Day on Monday, announced that Malta's next general election will be held on June 3.

The snap election will be happening nine months before the due date.

Muscat said that the country was "showing the first signs of suffering from uncertainty. We either stop here or else we will continue moving ahead together and risk losing everything". Endit
