Singapore PM to visit U.S. this year

Singaporean Prime Minister (PM) Lee Hsien Loong said on Monday that he has accepted the invitation from the White House to visit the United States sometime this year.

The invitation was extended by the U.S. President Donald Trump through a phone conversation to PM Lee on Sunday.

Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said both leaders "affirmed the deep and longstanding relationship between Singapore and the United States" after the call. Enditem
