3 dead, 4 injured in fire caused by cellphone charger in Morocco

Xinhua, April 29, 2017 Adjust font size:

Three people were killed and four others were injured Saturday in a fire caused by cellphone charger in the central Moroccan city of Azilal.

Preliminary investigations have shown that the fire broke out due to an inappropriately plugged cellphone charger in apartment, local authorities said in a statement.

The injured were carried to Azilal hospital for treatment, and those in critical condition were transferred to Marrakech's University Hospital by helicopter.

A further investigation into the incident has been opened under the supervision of the public prosecution. Endit
