Spanish gov't predicts average annual economic growth of 2.5 pct till 2020

Spain's economy would grow on average 2.5 percent year on year until 2020, the Spanish government said Friday.

Unemployment would fall to 15.6 percent in 2018, 13.7 percent in 2019 and 11.2 percent in 2020, said the government after a Cabinet meeting.

The government confirmed the 2.7 percent economic growth prediction for this year, revised up from the previously 2.5 percent.

The government also said that the public deficit would fall to 3.1 percent of the country's GDP this year, 2.2 percent in 2018, 1.3 percent in 2019, and 0.5 percent in 2020. Endi
