Russian President Vladimir Putin and visiting Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe agreed on Thursday to cooperate in various areas, though territorial spats persist between the two countries.

SKOPJE -- Seven people with head injuries and one suffering a knee injury were admitted in a hospital in Skopje so far after taking part in the clashes in the Macedonian parliament, medicals said on Thursday evening.

The number of injured is expected to be higher because some of the injured were taken to private medical centers. (Macedonia-Parliament)

PARIS -- More than 300 students were taken ill on Thursday due to suspected food poisoning in Rouen, a city in northeastern France, regional authorities said.

Children, aged between 3 and 12, reported symptoms of vomiting and nausea after eating school lunches prepared at the same central canteen.

JERUSALEM -- Israel's army said Thursday that its Patriot missile defense system intercepted an incoming object from Syria, reportedly a drone, while it was above the Israeli-held Golan Heights.
