Xinhua, April 27, 2017 Adjust font size:

Kyrgyzstan has launched joint command and mobilization exercises in case of emergency, the press service of the country's General Staff of the Armed Forces reported Thursday.

The main purpose of the exercises was to mobilize the management bodies of ministries and departments, state administrations and local governments to carry out tasks that would stabilize the situation in a state of emergency.

The exercises included blocking and destroying illegal armed formations in the border area, making decisions on the stabilization and settlement of crisis situations in the region and organizing filtration camps.

Other exercises involved defending facilities, repulsing attacks on strategically important facilities and organizing curfews.

The exercises started on Tuesday and were completed on Thursday. Endi
