Drake to host first-ever NBA Awards

The NBA announced on Tuesday that famous Canadian rapper Drake will serve as the host for the inaugural NBA Awards Show on June 26.

"I love hosting. I love being in a room full of iconic, legendary people that I look up to and having that pressure of having to make them laugh and enjoy their evening," Drake said.

According to the league sources, the Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Sixth Man Award, Most Improved Player and Coach of the Year will be announced during the show.

Frequently seen in the courtside seats at the Toronto Raptors games, Drake has been seen as a global ambassador for his hometown team. Enditem
