Slovakia to attend Astana Expo 2017

Slovakia has confirmed that it will participate in the international exposition Astana Expo 2017 scheduled for June 10-September 10, Kazakhstan's Ambassador to the Czech Republic and Slovakia Serzhan Abdykarimov said on Tuesday.

"I think that the Slovak pavilion will be among the most interesting in Astana. The Slovak national day at EXPO 2017 will be on July 18," said the ambassador.

According to Abdykarimov, EXPO 2017 in Astana is expected to welcome five million visitors. As many as 3,000 events of various types, such as concerts, exhibitions, presentations and ministerial forums will take place in the three-month period in the capital of Kazakhstan.

The expo's main theme is "Future Energy," and it features the following sub-themes: reducing CO2 emissions, energy-efficient life and energy for everything. Endit
