British FTSE 100 rises slightly Tuesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday rose by 0.15 percent, or 10.96 points, to 7,275.64 points.

Share price of Hikma Pharmaceuticals increased by 3.42 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Glencore, ConvaTec Group, Royal Bank of Scotland Group and Barclays increased by 2.19 percent, 1.80 percent, 1.64 percent and 1.64 percent respectively.

Whitbread led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 7.13 percent, followed by Kingfisher (3.20 percent), Randgold Resources (2.65 percent), Associated British Foods (2.22 percent) and SSE (1.34 percent). Endit
