U.S. dollar rises against most major currencies

The U.S. dollar climbed against most major currencies on Friday as investors were awaiting the closely-watched French presidential election due on Sunday.

In late New York trading, the euro dropped to 1.0697 dollars from 1.0718 dollars, while the dollar bought 109.20 Japanese yen, lower than 109.32 yen in the previous session. Endit
