German benchmark DAX index gains 21.25 points Friday

The benchmark DAX index at Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Friday gained 21.25 points or 0.18 percent, closing at 12048.57 points.

German Airlines Lufthansa gained the most among the blue chips, whose share went up by 1.33 percent, followed by financial and banking services providers Deutsche Bank (1.23 percent) and Commerzbank (1.08 percent).

Beiersdorf, ProSiebenSat.1 and RWE were the top three losers, whose shares dropped 1.79 percent, 1.42 percent and 1.08 percent respectively.

Insurance Group Allianz was the most traded share, with a turnover of 357.96 million euros (about 382.94 million U.S. dollars). Endit
