-- Kenyan opposition National Super Alliance (NASA) said it would announce its presidential candidate on April 27 and had already agreed on how to share power if victorious at the Aug. 8 general election. The four leaders of NASA also admitted a new member on Thursday at a meeting in Nairobi adding to five the coalition's principals. (Daily Nation)

-- Security has been beefed up across Kenya as ruling Jubilee Party primaries begun on Friday, with high competition expected in the exercise. Preparations for the primaries went a notch higher Thursday as police deployed dozens of officers to polling stations. (The Standard)

-- Sixty-six percent of adolescents in Kenya want to be shown how to use contraceptives, a new study shows. The study which depicts the dire need to offer sex education to adolescents also shows 68 percent want to know the different contraception methods that are available, while 62 percent want to know where to get them.
