British stocks rise slightly

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Thursday rose by 0.06 percent, or 4.18 points, to 7,118.54 points.

Share price of St James's Place increased by 1.89 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. GKN, Burberry Group, Royal Bank of Scotland Group and Prudential increased by 1.83 percent, 1.66 percent, 1.61 percent and 1.54 percent respectively.

Ashtead Group led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 2.71 percent, followed by Kingfisher (1.94 percent), Fresnillo (1.81 percent), Centrica (1.53 percent) and Hikma Pharmaceuticals (1.39 percent). Endit
