Dollar changes hands in upper 108 yen in early trade in Tokyo

The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 108 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Thursday, largely in line with levels seen overnight in New York.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 108.84-85 yen compared with 108.81-91 yen in New York and 108.81-83 yen at 5 p.m. on Wednesday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.0714-0715 dollars and 116.63-67 yen against 1.0706-0716 dollars and 116.52-62 yen in New York and 1.0731-0732 dollars and 116.77-81 yen in late Wednesday afternoon trade in Tokyo. Endit
