Cut-off hand re-attached to Myanmar man

Xinhua, April 19, 2017 Adjust font size:

A man's hand, which was cut off at the wrist by a sword attack, has been successfully re-attached in Nay Pyi Taw Hospital, the official Global New Light of Myanmar reported Wednesday.

The successful re-attachment surgery was the first in the hospital, performed by a team of local medical experts.

Ko Aye Htun, a farm worker from Yedashe township in Bago region, had his right wrist severed and his head injured in March when he was attacked by a fellow worker armed with a sword.

The successful re-attachment of a limb was also the fourth in Myanmar history. Endit
