-- The World Bank has warned the Kenyan government for using debt money to settle recurrent expenditure. In a new report, the global lender has noted that the country is borrowing more than it is spending on development projects, meaning the money is being used for goods and services.

The warning came days after President Uhuru Kenyatta told citizens the country's 40-billion-U.S.-dollar debt has not been used on recurrent expenditure. (The Standard on Saturday)
