1st LD Writethru: 2 dead after train collides with school bus in southern Russia

A freight train ran into a school minibus at a railway crossing in Russia's Omsk Oblast, killing at least two people, RIA Novosti news agency reported Friday, quoting an emergency service source.

The bus carrying 10 children was hit by the train at 2:26 p.m. local time (0926 GMT) in Novovarshavsky, Omsk, in southern Russia, according to the report.

The bus driver and the escort were killed. A girl was hospitalized and was in stable condition.

The causes of the accident is under investigation. Endi
