Dollar trades in lower 109 yen zone in early trade in Tokyo

The U.S. dollar changed hands in the lower 109 yen zone in early deals on Friday in Tokyo, largely in line with levels seen overnight in New York.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 109.10-11 yen compared with 109.03-13 yen in New York and 109.01-03 yen at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.0615-0616 dollars and 115.81-82 yen against 1.0607-0617 dollars and 115.70-80 yen in New York and 1.0644-0645 dollars and 116.03-07 yen in late Thursday afternoon trade in Tokyo. Enditem
