German benchmark DAX index down by 0.38 pct

The benchmark DAX index at Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Thursday lost 45.70 points or 0.38 percent, to close at 12,109.00 points.

Lufthansa lost the most among the blue chips and its share went down by 3.06 percent, followed by Deutsche Boerse and E.ON that lost 1.54 percent and 1.22 percent respectively.

Fresenius Medical, Beiersdorf and Vonovia were the top three winners for the day, whose shares gained 1.28 percent, 0.59 percent and 0.57 percent respectively.

Deutsche Bank was the most traded share with a turnover of 217.79 million euros (about 231.51 million U.S. dollars). Endit
