Xinhua, April 12, 2017 Adjust font size:

The family consumption inflation rate of Tunisia rose to 4.8 percent in March, up 0.2 percentage point from the previous month, announced the National Institute of Statistics (INS) on Wednesday.

The INS attributed this rise to soaring prices of certain groups, namely food and beverages, clothing and shoes, up 5 percent and 7.4 percent, respectively.

Furthermore, the INS explained that the increase of the inflation rate on the index resulted from the price hike of vegetable at 10.7 percent, edible oils 14 percent, fish 6.6 percent and meat 2.7 percent. Endit
