German federal prosecutor's office said Wednesday in a statement that judging from modality of the crime, the attack on the Borussia Dortmund team bus on Tuesday evening might have terrorist background.

Based on the investigation so far, two suspects were involved in the attack and their accommodations were searched, according to the prosecutor's office. One suspect was detained. (Germany-Bus Bomb)

MOSCOW -- Russian president Vladimir Putin said Tuesday that Moscow would demand a U.N. investigation of the use of chemical weapons in Syria as it expected new provocations with toxic agents in the war-torn Middle East country.

"We intend to officially address a relevant UN structure in the Hague and call on the international community to investigate thoroughly this incident, and to take a balanced decision depending on the results of the investigation," Putin said at a joint press conference with Italian President Sergio Mattarella. WASHINGTON -- United Airlines CEO Oscar Munoz apologized Tuesday for a bloody incident onboard of one of its flights Sunday in which a passenger was brutally removed from the plane to make room for its own employees.

"I continue to be disturbed by what happened on this flight and I deeply apologize to the customer forcibly removed and to all the customers aboard. No one should be mistreated this way," Munoz said in a statement published on the airline's official website. (U.S.-Airplane-Forced Deboard)

WASHINGTON -- One woman was killed and two others critically injured in a shooting in the U.S. state of Tennessee Tuesday, local media reported.

The shooting took place in Cookeville, at the parking lot of a factory.

Local police said the nature of the shooting was presumed an "isolated domestic violence incident," and the the shooter was the woman who died. (U.S.-Shooting)

KABUL -- At least five civilians were killed and three others wounded in a suicide bombing near the government office buildings in central of Afghan capital of Kabul on Wednesday, a spokesman of the Interior Ministry said.

"One suicide bomber detonated his explosive-jacket in a roadside in Pul-e-Yakpaysagi locality in police District Two of Kabul city. As a result five civilians were martyred and three others wounded," spokesman Najib Danish said in a statement. (Afghanistan-Suicide Bombing) Endi
