Singapore stocks close 0.35 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 11.26 points, or 0.35 percent, to close at 3,186.01.

A total of 2.37 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.39 billion Singapore dollars (995 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered decliners 236 to 228.

The STI index lost 6.7 points, or 0.21 percent, to close at 3,174.75 on Tuesday. Enditem
