Iran's FM to visit Moscow for trilateral meeting on Syria

Xinhua, April 12, 2017 Adjust font size:

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will make a visit to Moscow on Friday to discuss recent developments in Syria with senior officials of the country, Tasnim news agency reported on Wednesday.

Zarif will also attend a trilateral meeting with his Russian and Syrian counterparts, the report quoted Iran's foreign ministry spokesman, Bahram Qasemi, as saying.

The meeting takes place following the recent use of chemical weapons in the Syrian conflicts and against a backdrop of the subsequent U.S. attack on a Syrian airbase. Endit
