Serbian basketball champions Crvena Zvezda (Red Star) marked second home victory in the finals of the Adriatic Basketball Association (ABA) league against Croatian Cedevita on Tuesday by 84-73, one step away from the third consecutive trophy.

Red Star were more accurate in field goals and more active in defense in the first part of the game, achieving unbreakable 23-point advantage by halftime on 57-34.

Point guard Charles Jenkins had 16 points, 4 assists and 7 rebounds while Nate Walters adding 14 points and 5 assists when five Red Star players had double-digit contribution.

For the Croatian team Miro Bilan stood out with 12 points, as well as Ra'Shad James' 11 points.

Coach of Read Star Dejan Radonjic said, "We achieved 2-0 lead and used the home court advantage. I hope that we will manage to overcome them in the first match in Zagreb so that we would have enough time to rest."

Assistant coach of Cedevita Gianmarko Pozzecco said that team's two playmakers Boatright and Katic are injured, which is causing troubles for the team.

Two teams will play the next game in Zagreb on April 13 when the Red Star could be crowned in the top regional league that gathers teams from former Yugoslavia. Endit
