Iraq condemns church bomb attacks in Egypt

Xinhua, April 9, 2017 Adjust font size:

Iraq condemned on Sunday a bomb explosion at a Coptic Christian church in the Egyptian Nile delta city of Tanta, which killed at least 21 and injured 59 others.

"Iraq confirms its full solidarity with Egypt and stands with it in the same trench to counter terrorism which targets its internal security and the safety of its citizens," the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

"Iraq reiterates its call for more international and regional coordination to strike with iron fist on all ideological incubators of the organizations adopting extremism, cutting off all sources of support and financing," the ministry added. Endit
