5.2-magnitude earthquake jolts Albania

An earthquake measuring 5.2-magnitude in Richter scale jolted Albania on Saturday, according to the Albanian institute of geosciences, energy, water and environment.

The quake hit at around 15:53 p.m. with the tremors felt in Albanian capital and the surrounding cities.

The institute informed that the epicenter was in Kurbnesh, Mirdita, north of Albania.

Light tremors were also felt in Macedonia, Kosovo and Montenegro.

The tremors spurred panic among citizens in Tirana and nearby cities, however, no injuries or serious damages have been reported so far. Enditem
