101 year old woman killed in Australian car crash

A 101 year old woman has died, while six other people including a toddler have been injured, after a horror car crash in the Australian state of Queensland on Friday.

The highway where the accident took place was closed in both directions, and the 101 year old woman, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, was pronounced dead on the scene by emergency services.

A spokesperson for the Queensland Ambulance Service said that two women, a man, a male child, and a female toddler were being treated for injuries relating to the incident.

Police are investigating the nature of the crash, involving three vehicles, and delays are expected through well into the afternoon. Endit
