Urgent: Vice premier urges control on property development in Xiongan New Area

Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli urged strict control on massive property development in the Xiongan New Area, a new development zone near Beijing, on Thursday.

He called for "reasonable pace of development" of the area, saying large-scale real estate development and illegal construction should be banned.

Zhang made the remarks at a conference on promoting coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. Endi
