China's top legislator to visit Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Russia

China's top legislator Zhang Dejiang will visit Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus and Russia from April 12 to 21.

Zhang, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), will visit the four countries at the invitation of Latvian Parliament Speaker Inara Murniece; Lithuanian Parliament Speaker Viktoras Pranckietis; Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich and Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Vladimir Andreichenko; Russian Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko and Chairman of the Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.

While in Russia, Zhang will attend the third meeting of the cooperation committee between the NPC and the Russian parliament, according to the NPC standing committee on Thursday. Endi
