The governments of Indonesia and Afghanistan on Wednesday pledged to bring their bilateral cooperation to a higher level.

DHAKA -- The 136th Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) assembly has voted unanimously to elect Cameroonian Martin Chungong for a second four- year term on the final day of its 136th assembly Bangladesh capital Dhaka.

MANILA -- The Philippine government and the leftist rebels have reached agreement on a bilateral ceasefire during their talks in The Netherlands, a local television ANC said on Wednesday.

BANGKOK -- A ping pong bomb, hidden in a trash can in Thai capital Bangkok, exploded around 20:00 local time on Wednesday, leaving two sanitation workers injured slightly, Thai media reported.
