Singapore stocks close 0.08 percent lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 2.51 points, or 0.08 percent, to close at 3,176.55.

A total of 3.13 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.21 billion Singapore dollars (863.6 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 271 to 197.

The STI index lost 8.45 points, or 0.27 percent, to close at 3,179.06 on Tuesday. Enditem
