Military truck overturn kills two soldiers, injures 17 in northern Thailand

Two soldiers were killed and 17 others injured when a military truck overturned in the northern Thai province of Chiang Rai on Saturday, local media reported.

According to media reports, the truck was transporting the soldiers from the 15th Cavalry Battalion to a border post in Chiang Rai's Mae Sai district for routine rotation of troops before it overturned at a curve on the Thoeng-Chiang Rai road.

One soldier died at the scene and the other at a hospital.

Four soldiers among the 17 hurt suffered severe injuries. Endit
