The most important areas of cooperation were life sciences, space, and aerospace.

The two sides can carry out a great deal of substantive cooperation in this field, said China's Vice Minister of Science and Technology Huang Wei, in an interview with Xinhua.

Belgian state secretary for science and technology Zuhal Demir said both China and Belgium attached great importance to technological innovation so there was great potential for working together.
