British stocks rise 0.41 pct

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Wednesday rose by 0.41 percent, or 30.30 points, to 7,373.72 points.

Share price of 3i Group increased by 5.71 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. London Stock Exchange Group, BHP Billiton, Antofagasta and Ashtead Group increased by 2.71 percent, 2.69 percent, 2.19 percent and 2.12 percent respectively.

Fresnillo led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 1.73 percent, following by Standard Life (1.61 percent), Randgold Resources (1.60 percent), RSA Insurance Group (1.18 percent) and Severn Trent (1.08 percent). Endit
