Astana EXPO 2017 confirms participation of 115 countries, 20 int'l organizations

Astana Expo 2017 organizers have finished accepting applications for participation in the international exhibition here Wednesday, and confirmed that 115 countries and 20 international organizations will attend.

According to Ilya Orazakov, director of the International Department of Astana Expo 2017, each country will have its own pavilion at the exhibition, which amounts to 60,000 square meters.

Currently the construction and installation work is almost completed, Orazakov said.

The Chinese pavilion at Astana EXPO 2017 will focus on energy of the future. This theme will reflect China's ideas and practical implementations in the field of the most effective use of traditional energy and the development of renewable energy sources.

At the exhibition, China is also going to present the Belt and Road Initiative to visitors.

Astana EXPO 2017 will be held in Astana from June 10 to Sept. 10. July 5 is China's national pavilion day at the exhibition. Endi
