Singaporean stocks close 0.85 pct higher

Singaporean stocks finished higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 26.75 points, or 0.85 percent, to close at 3,184.57.

A total of 3.31 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.42 billion Singapore dollars (1.01 billion U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers 324 to 148.

The STI index gained 30.94 points, or 0.99 percent, to close at 3,157.82 on Tuesday. Enditem
