Singapore stocks close 0.99 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 30.94 points or 0.99 percent to close at 3,157.82

A total of 2.74 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.28 billion Singapore dollars (917.9 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers 321 to 152.

The STI index lost 16.02 points or 0.51 percent to close at 3,126.88 on Monday. Enditem
