Xinhua, March 4, 2017 Adjust font size:

China's National Figure Skating Championship kicked off Saturday in Qingdao, Shandong province of east China.

Attracting 65 top skaters from seven teams across the country, the two-day championship features four events, including men's singles, women's singles, doubles and ice dancing.

The championship will hold one round competition in each day, and the ranking depends on total points.

On Saturday, Jin Boyang from Heilongjiang and Li Zijun from Jilin took the first places of men's and women's singles respectively, and Jilin's Wang Shiyue/Liu Xinyu were ranked first in ice dancing, while Sui Wenjing/Han Cong from Harbin leading in doubles. All of them are members of China's national teams.

For skaters of national teams, this championship is a preparation for the coming World Championships in Helsinki of Finland, said Shen Xue, an official of the Winter Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sports of China. Endit
