Turkish FM criticizes Germany's double standards toward Turkey

Germany's attitude towards Turkey revealed double standards, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Friday.
He made the remarks after authorities in a south German town prevented Turkish justice minister address to the local Turkish community.
Berlin must "learn how to behave" if it wants to maintain relations with Turkey, Cavusoglu was quoted as saying by state-run Anadolu Agency.
He also called on Germany to work together with Ankara for the good of Turkey's large community there.
Turkish Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag was scheduled to deliver a speech in a meeting organized by the Union of European Turkish Democrats (UETD) in the southern German town of Gaggenau.
He was expected to meet with Turkish community members in a rally and address about the upcoming referendum on April 16 for the proposed constitutional amendments in Turkey.
Deniz Yucel, a journalist of German newspaper Die Welt was arrested by Istanbul court on Monday, being charged of propaganda in support of a terrorist organization and inciting public violence. German-Turkish relationship has been strained suddenly since then. Endit
