Croaita adopts package measures to boost employment

Xinhua, March 2, 2017 Adjust font size:

The Croatian government would take nine measures to help unemployed, especially for people who are on the margins of the labor market, the government said on Wednesday.

The government would allocate 1.5 billion kunas (about 211 million U.S. dollars) to ensure measures to be implemented in order to boost employment, it said.

The measures, into effect on Thursday, included subsidies for job creation, self-employment, re-training and others, it added.

"The measures will contribute to the country's economic stability and growth, and will facilitate the availability of employment opportunities," Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said.

Labour and Pension System Minister Tomislav Coric said that the long-term unemployed, people with disabilities and young job-seekers would benefit from the package of measures. Enditem
