Thanks to a late equalizer from Brazilian striker Alan, two-time winners Guangzhou Evergrande stayed atop in Group G with a 2-2 away draw at Suwon Bluewings in AFC Champions League.
In the 15th minute, Suwon took an early lead as Brazilian forward Santos headed home from a corner.
Evergrande pulled level in the 24th minute as Ricardo Goulart hit a stunning volley from just outside of the box.
Suwon regained the advantage in the 32nd minute thanks to a successful corner tactic which saw Johnathan send the ball into the back of the net.
The South Korean side spared their efforts on defending and gave Evergrande very few chances. But Alan's curling effort finally found home only 10 minutes before the final whistle.
In the other match of the group, Eastern SC bagged their first goal and first point in AFC Champions league history with a 1-1 draw with Kawasaki Frontale. Endit
