German benchmark DAX index gains 11.74 points

The benchmark DAX index at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Tuesday rose by 11.74 points or 0.10 percent and closed at 11,834.41 points.
Commerzbank and mass media company ProSiebenSat.1 gained the most with increases of 1.28 percent and 1.15 percent respectively, followed by Deutsche Bank which went up 1.03 percent.
The top three blue-chip losers were Infineon, steel giant ThyssenKrupp and Fresenius, whose shares dropped by 1.26 percent, 0.63 percent and 0.54 percent respectively.
Insurance company Allianz was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 235.67 million euros (about 249.73 million U.S. dollars). Endit
