At least 13 people were killed by airstrikes that targeted rebel-held areas in the northwestern province of Idlib overnight, a monitor group reported on Monday.
A man with his wife, and their two children, as well as four people of one family were among those killed when airstrikes targeted the the city of Ariha in the southern countryside of Idlib, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, stopping short of identifying who was behind the air raids.
The UK-based watchdog group said the death toll will likely rise due to the large number of fatally wounded people.
Much of Idlib is under the rebel control, the most important of which is the al-Qaida-linked Nusra Front.
The city and its countryside have been subject to airstrikes by the U.S-led anti-terror coalition, Russian, and Syrian airstrikes, which were said to target commanders and rebel fighters. Endit
