Hong Kong Visa requirements relaxed for Cambodian nationals

Xinhua, February 27, 2017 Adjust font size:

The Immigration Department (ImmD) of the government of China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on Monday announced that the visa requirements for nationals of Cambodia will be relaxed.

The ImmD said, with effect from March 1, 2017, nationals of Cambodia may apply to enter Hong Kong for employment (under the General Employment Policy, the Supplementary Labor Scheme or as foreign domestic helpers), investment (to establish or join in business), training and study.

They may also apply for entry under the Quality Migrant Admission Scheme, the Immigration Arrangements for Non-local Graduates and the Admission Scheme for the Second Generation of Chinese Hong Kong Permanent Residents, The ImmD added.

"Under the existing policy, visa requirements are subject to review from time to time and changes will be introduced if circumstances so warrant. We believe that the relaxation of visa requirements for Cambodian nationals will help foster cooperation and exchanges between Hong Kong and Cambodia," an ImmD spokesman said. Endit
