BiH inflation rises 1.1 pct in Jan.

The consumer price index of Bosnia and Herzegovina(BiH) in January rose 1.1 percent over December 2016, official data revealed Friday.

According to data from BiH's Agency for Statistics, the highest rise recorded in alcoholic beverages and tobacco, at 4.1 percent compared to the previous month.

The price of transportation was up 3 percent, while that of housing and utility bills and health care increased by 0.2 percent, goods and other services, up 0.7 percent, and education, up 0.3 percent.

Meanwhile, a downturn was seen in clothes and shoes as well as furniture and household appliances with 6.3 percent and 0.1 percent respectively. Endit
