Singapore stocks close 0.65 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 20.54 points, or 0.65 percent, to close at 3,117.03.

A total of 3.19 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.43 billion Singapore dollars (1.01 billion U.S. dollars). Decliners outnumbered gainers 269 to 208.

The STI index gained 15.37 points, or 0.49 percent, to close at 3,137.57 on Thursday. Enditem
